We are currently on site at Walnut Way where we are building 2Nr 3 person 2 bedroom adapted bungalows. The properties need to conform to Welsh Government DQR standards, Lifetime Homes, Secured by Design, Adapted Units/Wheelchair accessible unit requirements, and will be EPC A. The properties are being built as infils on an area of previously open land, now owned by MVH, and is surrounded by existing residential properties.
To achieve EPC A the build is a traditional timber frame construction and contains elements such as PV panels on the roof, EV charging points and is heated via air source heat pumps for space heating and hot water. The PV panels are now installed and connected and we are in the process of doing the final completion works prior to handover to the client.
This is a tight site, where we have had to ensure regular community liaison and to time our deliveries outside of key local traffic times, to minimise disruption, and ensure regular contact with neighbours of the site when noisy/disruptive works have been carried out.
