Project Description
There are three sites associated with this Linc decarbonisation contract with ORP2 funding: Cwrt Alexandra in Abertillery, Plantation Row in Ebbw Vale, and Bill Harry Court in Tredegar. All schemes will be implemented under MCS to demonstrate compliance for the ORP funding.
Cwrt Alexandra is a single block of 18 flats over three storeys. Works consist of solar PV panels on the roof and the associated battery and IES installation. It is a Solshare system which means that the panels are not linked to individual batteries in each flat, but are shared across the block, as part of a communal energy supply that is then equally allocated to each flats.
Plantation Road is 3 buildings combining both flats and houses with works comprising solar PV and Bill Harry Court is 2 blocks of 8 flats over 2 storeys with solar PV, battery storage and external wall insulation. Both these projects will be delivered using MCS and PAS2030 accredited labour to demonstrate compliance with PAS2035, and funding requirements.
The flats are occupied, so there is a client tenant liaison officer on site who has been making initial appointment enquiries. Our site team is ensuring open communication with the client and tenants to ensure smooth project delivery. Although the bulk of the work is being carried out externally, access is still required to complete the IES installation, and carry out our handover and demonstration to the tenants.
